Tennessee Propellers, Inc. has been producing quality wooden
ultralight aircraft propellers for microlights and powered parachutes
since 1981. Tennessee Propellers, Inc. is also the world distributor
for Zenoah two cycle engines.
All
T.P.I propellers are manufactured from multi-laminated hardcore maple
veneer. Laminations are bonded with CLASS1 waterproof resin. Our
blanks contain 24 to 48 plys depending on the thickness required.
Carving to pitch, the most important step in propeller making is done
on a machine to insure that both blades will have exactly the same
shape and pitch. After carving, each prop is hand-sanded to remove
any machine marks. At this stage, preliminary balancing is done.
Wood sealers are next applied and again re-sanded. Each stage of
production from the wood laminations to finished propeller is subject
to a series of inspections. Final balancing is now performed.
T.P.I. propellers are given their final finish in multiple coats of
unique two component polyurethane coating containing aliphatic
polyisocyanate. This coating was especially formulated for the severe
environment to which propellers are subjected. The surface is
extremely hard, yet flexible to protect against nicks and abrasion.
It has high gloss retention properties superior to conventional
urethanes.
T.P.I. is pledged to provide individuals, dealers, and manufacturers
with a product they can count on at a reasonable price.
Propellers can be ordered in hub thicknesses of 1.5", 1.75", 2", and
2.25" and up to 72 inches in diameter. We also manufacture gyrocopter
propellers of 3" Hub thicknesses and up to 66 inches in diameter.

LEADING EDGE TAPE:
A clear .002 thick x 2" adhesive backed, anti-abrasion tape,
$15.00/propeller.
URALITE LEADING EDGE:
An inlaid urethane rubber leading edge. The uralite is shaped to the
airfoil of the prop. This can be installed on new props $55.00.
REPAIRING PROPS:
We
can repair or refinish your propeller for 1/2 the cost of a new prop,
plus shipping. This includes rebalancing.
